Book presentation: The Secret Life of Bad Bishops (Quality Chess 2014)
Saturday Juli 23rd at 8 pm
By: Silas Esben Lund
The book presentation will be held after the 1st round of XtraCon Chess Open 2016, on Saturday July 23 at 8 pm (20:00), and will last approx. 1½ hours.
This ambitious volume deals with the subject of good and bad bishops - and when they are actually not so bad as the visual impression. All phases of the game are covered, from opening to endgame - but the focal point of the author is the complex middlegame and how to understand and successfully deal with it. The book is wrapped up with an exercise section to test the newly enhanced understanding.
”The Secret Life of Bad Bishops” has received excellent reviews - take a look at: Quality Chess’ webpage.
Relevant game extracts from round 1 of the tournament will be included in the book presentation!
It is possible to buy a copy of the book at the presentation.
